Ruby's Kitchen, at the top of Bent Hill Felixstowe, opened mid July this year and specialises in tasty homemade seasonal food - freshly cooked to order using local produce whenever possible.
Ruby’s has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere; as you walk in you are met with the delicious aroma of freshly ground coffee....combine that with the most stunning sea views...your expectations of the food is very high…..and you wont be disappointed.....
The menu is an eclectic mix of dishes; and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Ruby's Kitchen serves an extensive breakfast menu until 12 noon every day. If you are looking for a light and healthy breakfast; a bowl of porridge and honey may do the trick; or alternatively Ruby's Breakfast – the all singing all dancing ‘grill-up’ - will most certainly leave you feeling satisfied. Lunch choices are many – ranging from ‘light bite’ homemade soup with fresh bread, sandwiches, paninis and jacket potatoes, to a heartier Suffolk ham or fresh battered cod and chips to full 3 course meals and almost everything in between. Daily Specials compliment the already well-rounded menu – and the prices are reasonable too. A full Sunday roast is served every week and at £7.95 is well worth a trip - bookings are recommended!
Ruby’s not only caters for peckish adults – all menu items are available for children in half portions at half the listed price – such a welcome change from the usual dreadful options of chicken nuggets or pizza for our wee ones!
Everything on the menu is also available to take-away, in biodegradable and environmentally friendly packaging. Both Ruby's Coffee (which is roasted and blended in Suffolk specifically for Ruby’s) and Ruby’s homemade preserves, are also available to buy and take home with you.
Last, but by no means least, the freshly baked homemade cakes are to die for! Hard to resist as they call out at you from their ‘oh so quaint’ cake stands…the staff defy anyone to resist! If you are in need of a little lift…treat yourself to a piece…you really wont regret it! – these too are available to take-away!
The small but dedicated team of staff are very determined to make Ruby’s the preferred cafe for both the local Felixstowe Community and visitors alike.
