Why compete when you can work together?
 

As the old saying goes “two heads are better than one” and that’s very true for two local businesses that have pooled resources and are working together.

Felixstowe TV and Ipswich24 Magazine got together to see how they could help one another beat the recession.  Both companies up until recently had been competing against each other, not only for customers but also for content.  However following a meeting, it was decided that if they worked together rather than compete they could make both companies stronger and better for the advertiser and the consumer.

Ipswich24 now publish a piece for Felixstowe TV every month in their magazine, enabling the publication to bring more Felixstowe news to their readers.  In return Felixstowe TV now carry a monthly report about what’s happening in Ipswich supplied by Ipswich24.

“In a time of credit crunch it’s important to use all the resources you have,” says Wendy Cook from Ipswich24. “Both Felixstowe TV and Ipswich24 are small companies and we were finding it difficult to cover all of the events in the area.  By working together and sharing information we are able to offer a better service to both our viewers and readers.

“More companies should look at how they can help each other, we’ve found that the end result really is strength in numbers, and we are looking forward to a long and happy working relationship with Felixstowe TV.”

Felixstowe TV and Ipswich24 are both going from strength to strength and the partnership is working really well.
