Attention all Felixstowe Town Centre Businesses: URGENT: Apply NOW to get your Business Rates Reduced
Due to the improvements which are being carried out in Hamilton Road and the surrounding area The Chamber has learnt that it is possible to appeal against the recent business rates set on 1st April 2010.
It is really important to appeal as soon as you receive this letter as applications will only be considered whilst the work is still being carried out.The Valuation Office do have to obtain further information, regarding trading conditions which can take some considerable time however; we have been advised that each affected business should apply NOW whilst work is still underway in the local vicinity.
You can obtain a proposal form to alter the 2010 rating list by downloading it fromhttp://www.voa.gov.uk/business_rates/2010_proposal.pdf or telephone the local valuation office on 01473 587800 who will send you a hard copy in the post. Or download it here
