MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF FELIXSTOWE CHAMBER OF TRADE AND COMMERCE HELD AT OLD MILLARS ON MONDAY 23^rd MARCH 2005

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING – The minutes of the previous AGM for 22^nd March 2004 were read by the Secretary, accepted as a true record and signed by the chairman.

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT –  

STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS –

Copies were available to all attendees.  These were discussed.  Thanks to John Brinkley

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN –

Unfortunately due to ill health within the family Ash Ibrahim was unable to take the post of chairman.  Therefore Harvey Smith will continue in office for a further year.

ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN –

No Nominations Received

ELECTION OF HONORARY TREASURER –

John Brinkley willing to continue for a further year.

ELECTION OF SECRETARY –

Stephanie Simmonds to stand down as secretary.  Louise Berrill from Beatons has been nominated.

The following members were proposed and seconded for re-election:

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Dick Calvesburt from Suffolk Chamber of Commerce gave a short talk on the services offered by their organisation and how they could assist the Felixstowe Chamber.  He discussed the benefits of being affiliated to Suffolk Chamber which could be directly offered to members.  Attendees seemed favourable to pursue this and Dick agreed to join the executive committee at their next regular meeting.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 1915.
